Winter is back!
We’ve been waiting 20 months for actual winter, and it’s finally here. A couple of weeks ago, we talked about how we would trade marginal temperatures in late November if it meant we could get a big blast early-mid December and take off from there. Wouldn’t you know, that’s exactly how it turned out! For once, the lake effect bands turned our way, and Thursday afternoon through Friday morning saw us receive upwards of 15-20 inches of Lake Erie’s finest.
Holiday Valley reopens tomorrow (Sat, Dec. 10th!) We wanted to go over a couple things before you flock to the hill.
We will be open at the Flagship at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday!
Tons of parking at the Flagship (6113 Rt. 219) so if you need stuff before you lay turns down on Yodeler, please swing by. Cold weather gear (the forecast is calling for cold and snow) like facemasks, balaclavas, gloves, hats and neckwarmers.
The Boardroom on Main will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday!
Winter lifestyle apparel from Burton, Volcom, Quiksilver, Roxy and Under Armour. All of the same great stuff we’ve got at the Flagship, just conveniently located in the Village.
The daily rental fleet is itching to get out.
We ordered a bunch of new skis last year, and since it didn’t winter (crying emoji), they are all still pretty brand new. Ski and snowboard rentals for adult and junior, high-performance ski rentals and a full demo selection if you’re thinking of buying a new snowboard. New weekend rate!
Still the only off-site location for Holiday Valley lift tickets.
Save time and get your lift ticket right at the register while your rental is being set up! That way, you get on the hill faster, can ride longer, and make your life much easier (especially if you’ve got some children with you – they’ll be preoccupied enough with chasing beagles around)
Helmets and goggles galore.
Protect your noggin with a new helmet, like the Range from Giro or the Vantage from Smith. New this year – Pret and Oakley! Some really great new goggle tech this year too, like Prizm Inferno from Oakley. Or go with an M3 from Anon and magnetically change your lenses!
Service shop is ready to go.
As a full-service shop, we’re here to get your skis/snowboards buttered up before the hill. And if your buckle breaks on hill, just walk through Alpine Meadows (the brown condos by Sunrise) and come see us. We’ll get you dialed in and back riding in no time.

Thank you! For choosing to support your local snowboard shop. We couldn’t do any of this without you.
